The Chair of Work and Organizational Psychology (Prof. Gudela Grote) is inviting applications for a postdoctoral position to contribute to the ongoing research program on how new technology impacts work design with a special focus on learning algorithms.
The position is available from January 1, 2023, and is initially funded for two years, with the possibility of an extension for another year.
Technology drives work design, in oftentimes unpredicted and not always desirable ways. The research to be conducted should help to foster accountable design and use of AI in view of creating high-quality jobs and effective work processes. Involvement in existing projects and collaboration with PhD students in those projects is expected, but also the creation of a personal research portfolio which combines prior own research with the research opportunities provided by this position.
You should have a PhD in Work and Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or related fields. Prior experience in research on topics related to the current position and a strong publication record is expected. Excellent command of preferably both German and English is required. You should be highly committed and self-driven individuals with a creative and proactive mindset, striving to excel in a top-level, dynamic environment. They need to be able to work well in a team and have strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
