Studierende finden an der ETH Zürich ein Umfeld, das eigenständiges Denken fördert, Forschende ein Klima, das zu Spitzenleistungen inspiriert.
A PhD position is available in the Functional Inorganic Material group () at ETH Zurich (Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences).
The research activities involve comprehensive characterization of new perovskite-based nanomaterials, in the form of single quantum dots or superlattices, their optoelectronic properties and the development of a new generation of nanomaterial-based nanophotonic devices that operate down to the single-photon level.
State-of-the-art optical characterization methods including micro-photoluminescence experiments will be employed to characterize the optical properties of single quantum dots and the statistics of the emitted photons. Ab-initio (DFT) molecular-dynamic simulations will be used to guide and interpret the experimental results.
ETH Zurich is a family-friendly employer with excellent working conditions. You can look forward to an exciting working environment, cultural diversity and attractive offers and benefits.
