The at the Department of Health Sciences & Technology, ETH Zurich is looking for an outstanding postdoctoral fellow to join a dynamic research consortium working in the area of neural engineering and neural tissue engineering.
We are looking for an exceptional postdoctoral researcher to perform innovative, translational research in the area of Tissue Engineering for Nerve Regeneration. You will be part of a recently funded grant and part of a team including bioengineers, clinicians and biologists.
You will be working on the development of for neural applications. The consortium will together explore materials and biofabrication methods to advance treatment of peripheral nerve injuries.
You have a PhD in bioengineering, material science, or a related field and good knowledge of Biofabrication including experience in synthesis of photoactivated materials. Ideally, you have previously worked on scaffold-based tissue engineering approaches, with hands-on experience with 3D cell culture and methods to evaluate material performance and biocompatibility. Experience with translational regenerative products, neural engineering, conductive polymers, in vivo animal models and neurobiology is welcome. A track-record of innovative, translational scientific research and publications as well as excellent communication and management skills are prerequisites. In addition to your research activities, you will be in charge of managing the project, coordinating transfer between the partners, and scientific and financial reporting.
