Internship Control Systems R&D (w/m/x) in Bulle Switzerland Zum Standort

The goal of this project is to develop Control strategies for our products, evaluate its feasibility and test them in rapid prototyping.

• You will be in charge of conducting a literature survey, which which will reveal the possible control system structures as well as mathematical modelling techniques for the different stages
• You will partake in the selection process of the most promising control system and further develop it with your team
• You will follow through with simulation tasks. Once a good controller performance is achieved, you will implement the controller on the target control unit and test it (if possible in our test benches)
• You will document results in report format and participate in the final presentation

During your time at Liebherr, you will be part of a team of experienced engineers in a company that develops cutting edge technology. Since the offices, pump test benches and production halls are in the same building, you will have the chance to immerse yourself into testing environments for the portfolio of Liebherr’s products (hydraulic pumps and motors, diesel and gas engines) and the various manufacturing processes.

• You are currently completing a university degree in Electronics, mechanical and robotics Engineering
• You have good knowledge on internal combustion engine modelling and in software development
• You have advanced knowledge of classical control methods
• You know the basics about electrical, mechanical and thermal simulation’s methods
• You have a good level of English (C1), a good knowledge in French and German is desirable
• You have a confirmed experience in the use of Matlab and Simulink
• You consider yourself as someone that has a good ability to work in a team, is open-minded and solution-oriented
