Applicants should have at least 2-3 years of experience teaching German as a foreign language at the middle school level (grades 6 - 8), preferably in an international school setting. Teaching certification is required and applicants must show evidence of:

Essential to have:

• Native/C2 German
• Teaching license including specialism
• Documented record of excellence in teaching
• BA / BSC or equivalent university degree
• Understanding of Middle School philosophy and best practice
• Integration of technology into curriculum
• Learner-centered focus
• Inquiry based pedagogical approach
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Ability to differentiate for diverse learning needs
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Experience using digital technology to support student learning
• Commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and active participation in school life

Very desirable to have:

• EDK teaching status recognition for Zurich
• Experience working in an International School context
