ROLE DESCRIPTION

• As an administrative intern in our Onboard Ocean Operations department, you will be surrounded by colleagues who will share their extensive expertise.

• You will play a critical role in the organization of the Viking Enrichment Program focusing on bringing local history and culture to life for our guests in form of a series of lectures on board of Viking Ocean and Expedition vessels.

• The internship duration is of six months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will assist the Enrichment Team in planning and organizing the Enrichment Program.

• You will document speakers’ travel arrangements, communicate cruise information to them, and help answer requests.

• You will oversee the collection of educational materials provided by speakers, leading to the creation of an enriching onboard program for guests.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• You are fluent in English, additional languages are a plus.

• You are curious and eager to learn how a global cruise line is organized and how award-winning guest experiences come to life.

• You have a passion for sharing knowledge about other cultures.

• You have a positive personality and like to work in a multi-cultural team.

• You are highly organized and detail-oriented.

• You have solid computer skills, especially in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

EDUCATION

• You are a senior year student of recent graduate of a Master’s or Bachelor’s program in Culture Studies, History, Marketing or Tourism.

NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Interest in an eventual longer-term career in the cruise industry.

• An efficient work style, not only in completing tasks quickly but in the optimization of processes.

• Knowledge of educational design methodologies is a plus.
