Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will support initiatives that help our customers drive their decarbonization projects and contribute to a more sustainable future. Through the ABB Discovery Program, you will embark on a structured, practice-oriented introduction designed to build your confidence in working independently while becoming a valuable member of inclusive teams. Start date of the program is October 1, 2025. The position will be open for applications end of March 2025. All applicants will receive an application status update in May. The selection process is taking place in May/June 2025.You will be mainly accountable for: • Driving product and project management by supporting the implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of products and services within the assigned area.• Developing business understanding through hands-on involvement in business development initiatives, market analysis, and strategic planning.• Managing projects effectively, ensuring the successful execution of assigned tasks and projects within the given timeframe.• Building a strong professional network by engaging in cross-functional collaboration, team activities, and social events within ABB.

Qualifications for the role

• You hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related engineering field from a university or applied sciences university, and you will have completed your studies before October 1, 2025
• You preferably have experience in at least three of the following technologies: Python, C++, C, JavaScript, SQL databases and programming, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• You have a maximum of three years of professional work experience by the start date of October 1, 2025.
• You are at ease communicating in English, good German skills are a plus.
• You hold authorization to work in Switzerland (at least a B permit).
• You are analytical, solution-focused, and adaptable, with a collaborative, proactive, and innovative mindset that helps you thrive in diverse environments.
• You have an interest in life cycle management (LCM) and contributing to the continuous improvement of the ABB Crealizer platform, or you are eager to expand ABB Ability services to new applications by actively seeking customer feedback.
