To complete our Foundation Summer Camps team, we are looking for:

Summer Camps - English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Teacher

These roles are part of the Foundation Camps programme.The EFL Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging English language activities within a summer camp environment. The role requires a balance between sound pedagogical practice and creative, activity-based learning, ensuring that language acquisition takes place in a motivating and enjoyable context rather than a traditional classroom setting.

Responsibilities of the successful candidate:

  • Plan and deliver interactive English language sessions tailored to a camp-based programme combining language learning with sports and creative activities.
  • Create a positive learning environment that encourages communication, participation and confidence in English.
  • Adapt activities to suit children with differing levels of language proficiency.
  • Supervise a group of up to 16 children aged 7 to 12, working closely with an assistant and other camp staff.
  • Ensure appropriate supervision during arrivals, departures, meals and structured leisure activities, including outdoor and water-based activities when scheduled.
  • Take shared responsibility for the safety, wellbeing and pastoral care of the children at all times, in coordination with the Camp Director, Camp Coordinator and Camp Nurse.
  • Contribute actively to the overall life of the camp and support a respectful, inclusive and supportive atmosphere.

Personal Requirements:

  • Recognised qualification in English as a Foreign Language (TEFL, CELTA, DELTA or equivalent) or language education.
  • Proven experience teaching English to children, ideally in an international or multicultural educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of language teaching methodology, with the ability to translate theory into practical, engaging activities.
  • Fluent in English or near-native proficiency, with a good working knowledge of French considered an asset.
  • Confident group management skills combined with a calm, caring and responsible approach.
  • Creativity, flexibility and enthusiasm for working with young learners in a dynamic camp environment.
  • Previous experience in summer camps, schools or similar youth programmes is highly valued.
  • Holder of a valid work permit for Switzerland

  • Job-holder can enroll his or her children in the Summer Camp programme free of charge (when they are working on site) if relevant.
  • We don't provide accommodation for the staff.
