To strengthen our team at the Energypolis campus, CIRAIG at the Institute of Energy and Environment of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis is seeking to fill the position of:
Position description
- Participate in the design and delivery of applied research and development (R&D) projects and services, drawing on your scientific expertise.
- Develop national and international collaborations and participate in the preparation of research proposals.
- Manage and oversee public and private R&D projects.
- Participate in the supervision of student projects.
- Contribute to projects involving environmental life cycle modelling and assessment, material flow analysis, techno-economic analysis, circular economy, eco-design, data management and analysis, and the development of metrics and environmental assessment tools.
- Write and present technical deliverables for public and private clients/partners.
- Contribute to the academic life of CIRAIG, the Institute of Energy and Environment and the Energypolis Campus.
Selection criteria
- Master's degree in Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field; a doctoral degree is an advantage.
- Experience in scientific research or equivalent, including the development, management and writing of research projects; experience with Horizon Europe projects is an asset.
- Proven expertise in life cycle analysis, eco-design and data visualisation; experience in emerging renewable energy technologies is an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills and a high degree of autonomy, with the ability to manage technical and interdisciplinary projects integrating sustainability metrics from a life cycle perspective.
- Excellent knowledge of English; good knowledge of French is an advantage.
