Novartis Group Treasury has an exciting internship opportunity for a motivated, self-directed student who is interested in developing skills in the area of Capital Markets.
Novartis Group Treasury’s mission is to support the Novartis business aspiration through best-in-class people and highest ethical standards, specifically by: • Assuring solvency of the Group and affiliates • Managing group-wide financial risks • Optimizing internal and external financing • Centrally managing relationships with core banks and credit rating agencies
Within the Novartis Group Treasury, the Capital markets’ team is looking for an intern who wants to actively contribute to the success of the department by supporting the Senior Capital Market Managers in all strategic projects and day-to-day activities.
What your job will look like:
• Support different high-visibility capital market projects including proposals to CEO/CFO • Support the preparation and execution of capital market transactions • Perform credit rating analysis and forecast key credit rating KPIs • Perform group liquidity analysis on an ongoing basis • Perform quantitative modeling and financial analysis in connection with strategic corporate finance projects and present appropriate solutions and findings
• Current student or recent graduate (graduation not longer than one year ago) of a Bachelor or Master Degree program in Business Administration or Finance/Economics • Fluent in English (both verbal and written), additional language is a plus • Collaborative, organized, diligent, self-directed and a good communicator • Experienced in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel and Power-Point • Willingness and ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment • Prior experience in Banking or Corporate Finance is a plus
Start date and duration: Mid-August 2018 on for a six months period
