Internship Additive Manufacturing Applications in Luzern

Corporate R&D – Structure and Doors is interested in monitoring the advancements in additive manufacturing technologies, as well as in understanding the impact that such technology can have on the own portfolio and value chain.
During the project you will have the possibility to collaborate with the different experts from Schindler Elevator to produce and systematically evaluate a list of new potential applications.

During the project you will:

• Research and document the state of the art in additive manufacturing
• Understand product portfolio offered by Schindler Elevator – R&D Structure and Doors
• Assess AM feasibility and investigate AM applications within portfolio of Schindler Elevator – R&D Structure and Doors
• Estimate impact of AM introduction in different environments such as product development, manufacturing, installation, service and prioritize them
• Deliver a roadmap for the implementation of the most promising applications
