Your role

Interested in working in finance, specifically in shaping user experience and making digital banking easy to use and understand, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?

We're looking for ambitious students to join our 2026 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Group Technology.

You'll get to:
• craft clear, engaging UX content in German and English that empowers users to confidently navigate complex financial topics
• translate content from English into German with nuance and creativity, ensuring every interaction feels natural, authentic and human
• shape and evolve a consistent voice, tone and terminology across our digital products to create an intuitive, seamless experience for users
• champion accessibility by creating inclusive content, including meaningful alternative text
• collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of UX writers, localization professionals, designers, engineers and business stakeholders
• explore and leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance content creation, streamline workflows and drive innovation in your everyday work

Your team

Join the software localization team in Zurich and help shape our world-class multilingual user experience on UBS Digital Banking. We are a team of passionate language experts dedicated to making UBS products and services accessible, intuitive and engaging across languages and markets. Through our work, we help users feel confident and supported, ensuring every interaction is as seamless and meaningful as possible, regardless of the language they choose.

Your expertise

We're looking for a candidate who:
• has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor's degree and graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor's or master's degree), preferably in translation or a related field
• has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
• can evidence how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency
• is a native German speaker with excellent English skills; additional language skills, such as French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese or Chinese are a plus
• is passionate about writing content in both German and English
• has knowledge of accessible writing (a plus)
• is sensitive to the needs of audiences from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• has localization experience and a strong understanding of UX/UI
• is passionate about delivering high-quality content and translations and has a strong eye for detail
• has an interest in multilingual terminology and terminology database management
• can effectively adapt AI-generated content into engaging copy tailored to the target audience
• has experience with CAT tools and AI-powered language tools
• is committed to staying up to date with the latest developments in artificial intelligence and best practices in post-editing
• enjoys working in a dynamic environment where they can actively contribute to shaping and improving our processes
• is eager to learn and enjoys working in an international team
• is curious, enjoys asking questions, and brings forward new and innovative ideas
• can quickly grasp new subject areas and concepts
• is eager to learn and open to receiving and implementing feedback
• has programming skills (a plus)
