ROLE DESCRIPTION
• Support the New Build Category Manager in sourcing and procurement activities for Ocean and Expedition New Build ships within a dynamic, fast-growing international cruise company.
• Gain unique exposure to exciting New Build vessel projects, supported by a strong order book and planned ship deliveries in the coming years.
• Coordinate supplier activities, logistics planning, and preparations for new vessel deliveries while developing hands-on experience in procurement, logistics, supplier management, and project coordination.
• Collaborate with internal teams and international suppliers in a professional, global environment, contributing directly to the successful delivery and launch of new vessels.
• Benefit from opportunities to travel and participate in shipyard, supplier, and existing ship visits, depending on project needs.
• Develop within a role designed to help shape the future New Build team within the global Procurement department, with a potential pathway to a permanent position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and issue purchase orders to vendors for products and equipment required for new vessel deliveries.
• Coordinate logistics activities and monitor deliveries to shipyards, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Assist in negotiating commercial terms and conditions with suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Update and maintain procurement databases, including product specifications, pricing, and supplier information.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional departments to provide updates on product status, deliveries, and project developments.
• Monitor project timelines, costs and budget.
• Review and follow up on supplier invoices and discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance with purchase orders.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
• Interest in procurement, project management, logistics, and supplier relationship management.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Willingness to explore the cruise industry and work with a large and various portfolio of items.
• Analytical and proactive mindset.
• Effective communication and Microsoft skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are considered an asset.
EDUCATION
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
