Job Description

Join an international financial services organisation in Geneva as a Junior Family Office Accountant, supporting day-to-day accounting activities, reconciliations, reporting and year-end processes across a portfolio of companies and bank accounts.
Responsibilities
  • Record accounting entries for various bank accounts and companies.
  • Process bank transactions, intercompany transactions, investment movements and revaluations.
  • Manage foreign exchange revaluations, accruals and prepayments.
  • Review and control incoming invoices and expenses.
  • Liaise with Treasury regarding supplier payments.
  • Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist with quarterly funding requests and management accounts.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist with audit and reporting requirements where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and organised accounting and corporate administration files.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports.
  • Support the accounting team with various projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, obtained in Switzerland or France.
  • 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within a Family Office, fiduciary, audit firm or similar financial environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent command of French, with a fully fluent and professional level both written and spoken.
  • Very strong English skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to work confidently in an international environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis; experience with other accounting and financial software is highly valued.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new accounting systems and tools.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive financial and corporate information.
  • Comfortable working in an international environment and managing multiple priorities.
