The objective of the doctoral thesis is to develop and synthesize multifunctional wood-hybrid materials as well as to contribute to the implementation in largescale industrial processes. Various characterization techniques will be applied to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the hybrid structure and performance. This project should lead to advanced wood materials with increased reliability and thereby boost the utilization of the renewable and CO2 storing wood resource as well as create novel applications of wood as Smart Building Material.
