Student Research Assistant in Applied econometrics using Stata (appr. 20 hours per month) in Zürich

You will help with research in empirical law and economics. We ask that you have good experience with applied microeconometrics using Stata (panel regressions, instrumental variables, and graphs). Tasks may include: (1) Data checks, cleaning, and merging (2) Design and description of an empirical strategy, with articulation of estimating equations and identification assumptions (3) Implementation of the empirical strategy in Stata (4) Reporting of results in regression tables and figures (5) Writing up of results for inclusion in publications.

The research investigates empirical questions in law and economics, public economics, and political economy. These include the determinants and consequences of the behaviour of judges, politicians, and voters. This position will provide good research experience for those interested in applied economics research, both for graduate school preparation and for private-sector work in consulting or finance.
