Inventory Planner (60-100%) in Zürich

The Inventory Planning department within the SWISS Technical Division is in charge of guaranteeing availability of aircraft spares to ensure the safe, smooth, timely and cost-effective operation of the SWISS fleet.

The Inventory Planner is in charge of balancing the availability of spares for our different fleets and the underlying multi-million dollar investment.

Your duties

• Analysis, adaption and execution of stocking policies in line with the current life cycle of the fleet
• ERP data mining to generate optimized re-ordering data
• Generation of what-if scenarios regarding ordering and availability
• Root Cause Analysis for overstock, low stock and stock failures and implementation of remedial actions
• Handling of overstock and surplus sale lists and liaising with external sales partners
• Initial Provisioning review for new products or fleets
• Generation and analysis of operational KPIs in the area of Purchasing and Inventory Planning and implementation of remedial actions
• Mass formatting and upload in ERP of spares, purchasing and supplier data
• Inventory Planning focal point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical, scientific or business field, with theoretical and practical exposure to supply chain processes
• Very good analytical and solution-oriented thinking
• Advanced knowledge in statistics
• Confident and reliable with spreadsheet and database handling software
• Assertiveness, good communication and presentation skills
• Have a flair for technical topics
• Knowledge of SQL programming as an advantage
• Knowledge of AMOS software as an advantage
• Very good command English, German as an advantage
• Independent and forward-thinking worker
• Able to master difficult and challenging situations
