Job Description Novartis Pharma is hiring interns at the Basel campus in Chemical & Analytical Development (CHAD). The department plays an essential role in the development of processes for manufacturing and analysis of Small Molecule Drug Substance from the time it leaves the discovery laboratory until it is handed over to Commercial Production. Candidates will work in close collaboration with a senior chemist and laboratory technician(s) and be involved in the design and development of safe, ecologically benign, and economic manufacturing processes for chemical intermediates and drug substances. This program aim to: Provide good working experience to students Evaluate new methodologies at the state of the art of the chemistry Gain expertise in new technologies of interest.
Minimum requirementsDegree in Organic Chemistry, Chemical engineering, Analytical sciences, bioorganic chemistry or similar. We are looking for: • Highly motivated Masters or Post-graduate students • Good knowledge in organic chemistry and analysis (NMR, IR, HPLC, MS) • Well organized, interested by the R&D and the development of methodologies. • A first experience in a laboratory environment on experimental work is required with exposure to basic monitoring, purification, and analytical techniques.
