Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement predictive models based on business driven algorithms as well as machine learning procedures to understand and master borrowers behavior and investors risk appetite.
• Develop and apply text mining methods to improve internal credit models.
• Collect and model alternative data sources like social media profiles, customer reviews and the digital footprint of the borrowers.
• Provide research on topics including Fintech and the application of AI in Finance.
• Produce quantitative and qualitative modeling of marketplace dynamics, user behavior, etc.
• Identify areas for further investigation as well as creating innovative methods of analysis.
• Design meaningful data visualizations that communicate the findings and present them in a clear manner to create business impact.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree in a quantitative field (Operation Research, Engineering, Applied Math, Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, Economics etc)
• Experience working with large data sets, including classification, regression, distribution analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling/machine learning/ data mining
• Business Intelligence Tools such as KNIME, Tableau, Spotfire
• Big Data Ecosystem: SQL, Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, Hive
• Scientific Computing: R, Python, C++, Java, Scala
• Fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and Startup mindset
• Real go-getter who strives for results and is motivated by 'wins'
• Ability to show initiative/forward-thinking and be proactive
• Clear and thorough communication style, able to communicate at all levels
• Excellent attention to detail, whilst having the ability to connect the detail with the wider context
