Your tasks

Conducting measurement campaigns for the analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by gas chromatography
Statistical analysis and visualization of measurement data
Method development for the analysis of VOCs and halogenated greenhouse gases
Introduction of formaldehyde measurements at an urban site
Work at the interface between measurement instruments and programming
Further development of a software for the automatic identification of errors in continuous VOCs measurements
Collaboration with European partners on the quality assurance of VOCs measurements
Support of the measurements of halogenated greenhouse gases at Jungfraujoch with GCMS
Support at advanced training activities in collaboration with European partners

Required qualifications

Master's degree in chemistry, physics or environmental chemistry (University of Applied Science/University)
Distinct technical skills and experience in the analysis of organic compounds
Experience in programming measurement systems and transfer of measurement data to data bases
Communicative persons with pleasure in international collaboration
Very good oral and written skills in German and English
personal initiative and willingness for open communication and committed teamwork

The position is available immediately and has an initial duration of two year.
