Post-Doc in 3D printing of polymers in Dübendorf

to develop new polymeric resins for both SLA and DLP 3D printing. Your responsibilities will involve developing new transparent and non-transparent polymeric formulas with long shelf life, and for improved mechanical properties including tensile strength and elongation at failure. In addition, the processing will need to be optimized to 3D print both high specification parts with micro features as well as large structures and components. You will also have hands on experience to characterize the properties of the resins, and the microstructure and mechanical properties of the printed components.

For this demanding project we are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a Ph.D. in materials science, polymer science or chemistry. Experience in both polymer processing and characterization is essential. Experience in 3D printing of ceramics maybe of advantage. The candidate must have a proven track record in publishing of high quality peer reviewed articles as a first author. The candidate needs to be fluent in English (oral and written) and preferably has a basic knowledge of German.
