Jobbeschreibung

As the Sustainability Officer, you will advise the directorates of the two research institutes Eawag
and Empa, as well as their research and support departments, on issues relating to environmental
management and sustainable development.
You lead the environmental commissions of both institutes and are responsible for the coordination
of environmental protection efforts.
You support sustainability measures in energy and construction projects at the various institute locations,
in procurement, and in the promotion of environmentally friendly behaviour of our employees.
You represent the interests of the institutions in relevant committees and working groups within the
ETH Domain.
Reporting in the area of sustainability is also one of your tasks, as is the associated provisioning of
relevant data.

University degree in a field relevant to the position
Passion for sustainability issues
Experience in managing and coordinating projects and processes
Experience in the construction or energy sector (incl. knowledge of legal basics) is a plus
Strategic mindset, conceptual work
Joy communicating with different stakeholders
Joy working in inter/transdisciplinary teams
A flair for numbers
Good communication skills in German and English
