The success of an implant is crucially dependent on rapid and stable tissue integration and predicting the tissue integration potential of new implant surface designs is thus of paramount importance for implant development. In the frame of this project, you will work with a team of scientists with backgrounds in material science, cell biology and microbiology on the development and evaluation of novel implant-coatings. You will develop advanced 3D tissue models to assess tissue integration and investigate cytocompatibility as well as blood-material interaction of these coatings using state of the art facilities and equipment.
- PhD degree in biomedical engineering, cell biology or a related field
- Enthusiastic and curious personality
- High motivation to work in an interdisciplinary project
- Extensive experience with cell culture work
- Excellent skills at science communication (verbal and written)
