Intern in Second Level Investigation Support

The department “Case Monitoring and Resolution” is a Centre of Excellence for the resolution of global product issues of the software and monitors effective resolution of global and local cases ensuring optimal levels of customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

As an Intern in Support Complaint Handling you will be dealing with questions concerning product quality and product performance of Hospital/Laboratory Information Systems (HIS/LIS), medical data networks, middleware solutions and data communication. In this global function you are responsible for the timely and competent evaluation, investigation and resolution of inquiries and complaints coming from country organizations as well as for the documentation according to regulatory standards.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • You assume full accountability for the timely processing and documentation of individual cases (inquiries and complaints) according to regulatory and ISO quality system requirements and needs of the country organizations
  • The resolution of cases potentially requires consultation with more senior team members on technical or process related aspects
  • Cases need to be auditable and well documented to be self-explanatory to a person who has no specialized product or process knowledge (e.g. in an audit)
  • You could represent and communicate result of individual cases/issues in interfacing meetings and assume responsibility for providing information from cases in order to update product documentation

To be successful in this role:

  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor program or have recently graduated (within the last 12 months) in the field of Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Bioengineering or equivalent
  • Previous experiences in the field of Information Technology or Computer Engineering and Medical Devices understanding are a plus
  • Strong facilitation and communications skills and the ability to deal with adversity in a multicultural and international environment
  • You are a fast learner, have proactive attitude to drive solutions and high level of team orientation
  • You bring knowledge in Database Management and are able to read and understand the source code (SQL)
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) are essential
