Student Internship in Bioinformatics and Exploratory Data Analysis (6 months) in Basel

As an intern in the Bioinformatics and Exploratory Data Analysis group (BEDA), located in Basel, you will work in close collaboration with scientists in Roche Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED) using state-of-the-art bioinformatics and biostatistics tools and methods. The main focus of this bioinformatics position is the implementation of a pipeline to process and analyse metagenomics/microbiomics data in the context of pharmaceutical research.

During your internship your tasks will include:

• Evaluate tools and methods for meta-genomics analysis
• Develope a channel to process meta-genomics data
• Pursing data management
• Visualization of meta-genomics data
• Data mining of public and internal microbiomics data
