Trainee Program Start PT / ORDP in Basel

The Operations Rotational Development Program (ORDP) is a rotational leadership development program. ORDP hires top talent who have graduated within the last 2 years from college with a Bachelors or Masters, and prepares them for successful contributions to Roche/Genentech’s Pharma Technical Operations (PT). The program allows the ORDP Analysts the opportunity to gain on the job experience and a broad perspective on the core PT functions that are critical to the manufacturing of Roche/Genentech products. ORDP Analysts have the opportunity to rotate in any of the functional business areas of PT including: Biologics Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Global Engineering and Strategy, Product Development, and Global Pharma Procurement.

Rotational projects support specific business projects throughout PT. The development rotations are designed to provide challenging and meaningful business related assignments, training in technical and managerial skills, and coaching under business managers and mentors.

The Program:

  • Four six-month rotational assignments within Pharma Technical Operations. The first assignment starts on 15 September 2018
  • Formal targeted internal and external training
  • Formal presentation opportunities at the completion of each rotational assignment
  • Attend ORDP training/meetings/offsite events

Your key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Accountable for the end to end project deliverables associated with rotation assignment under the supervision of the rotation manager to complete within 6-month assignment as appropriate
  • Regular reviews with rotation manager and ORDP manager on project/assignment status with ability to ensure accountability.
  • Regular feedback and career/development updates with ORDP manager to ensure growth and development
  • Attend functions/meetings/offsite (both global and local) for rotation as agreed to per rotation manager
  • End of project/assignment presentation to business leaders of work completed in rotations

You have an excellent academic background and recently graduated (less than two years ago) from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in one of the following disciplines: Biochemical, Biomedical, Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Operations or related disciplines. You bring Operations-related internships or work experience and you have demonstrated your Leadership skills.

In addition you bring the following skills and competencies:

  • You are a strong team player with a solid understanding of the importance of delivery
  • You are task oriented with first project experience
  • You have excellent communication skills with a multicultural mindset
  • You have strong technical, quantitative and analytical skills
  • You are a quick learner and passionate about continually adapting your skills and knowledge
  • You have a strong passion and motivation to contribute to Roche’s Operations organization
  • You are fluent in English; German or another language would be an asset
  • You are available to start in the program on 15 September 2018.
