Student Internship in Pharmacology in Zürich

The Roche Innovation Center Zurich (Roche Glycart AG) is active in the research and development of engineered therapeutic antibodies, with a focus on the fields of cancer immunotherapy and immunotherapy in general. Part of the Roche Group since 2005, it employs about 180 people.

Within the Pharmacology department of the Roche Innovation Center Zurich, we are looking for an extraordinary and talented intern to join our international team in an outstanding and competitive scientific environment.

During your internship your responsibilities will include the following:

• Curation of in-house generated legacy data coming from pre-clinical in vivo and ex vivo studies as well as subsequent data management
• Ensure the quality of study annotation
• Present updates on work-package in Sprint meetings
• Cross-comparison of study results
• Gain cross-functional insight into a global research organization
• Build your network with the opportunity for future collaborations
• Get involved in an IT sprint team
• Get hands-on training in multi-parametric flow cytometry-based techniques and to learn about state-of-the art flow cytometry data analysis
• Get insights into preclinical in vivo testing of developed compounds

We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible and energetic person who is still enrolled in a Bachelor or Master Program and has strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and innovatively in a fast-paced environment. You are proactive, creative and detail-oriented and you have top teamwork competency. If you bring as well the following, we are looking forward to receiving your application.

• Interested in data management as well as good basic IT skills, including good knowledge of MS Excel or similar tools
• Interested in tumor biology and immunology
• Interest in working in a multidisciplinary and multinational environment
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Good knowledge of English
• Basic scripting knowledge in any programming language is a plus
